Our continued expansion now includes a brand-new factory. We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated Electrically biased multi skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team.

You will be expected to provide preventative maintenance to rubber and plastic machinery across two local sites.
Always Working safely in accordance with company policy and procedure. This is a full-time position with overtime as and when required. Call outs are shared across the team, although infrequent.

Duties to include:

• Efficiently respond to plant and equipment breakdowns.
• Maximise production output and increase reliability.
• Compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Inspection
• Maintenance of records for plant and equipment.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance systems.

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience with pumps, pipes pneumatics and hydraulics, electronics and PLC.
• Display good time management skills
• Show good communication and work well in a team
• Work well under pressure
• Be motivated and proactive
• Have a methodical approach.
• Have a UK Driving License (essential).

The successful candidate(s) will responsible for operating machinery and manufacturing plastics products to acceptable and defined quality standards. Full training will be provided. Please note that this is a demanding role, which requires attention to details and good housekeeping.

As a safety conscious employer we encourage good practice and adherence to procedures to ensure a safe working environment. The Candidate will have ideally will have worked within a manufacturing environment, have processing experience, capable of getting through a high volume of work and basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Job Role

The role includes;

• Lifting and manual work
• Operating the line and packing the finished products
• Ensuring the line is efficiently changed when required
• Performing quality inspection test to ensure the suitability of the finished product to defined standards.
• Finished goods labelling, packing and preparation
• Warehousing duties including storage of finished goods and supply of raw materials
• Work within the organisation’s Health and Safety guidelines to keep work area and equipment clean, safe and well maintained.
